The South Coastal Village Volunteers received the note below from the family of Helen Elizabeth Rathburn, who died on December 5, 2024 at the age of 100. A service for her was held in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro on January 9, 2025, on what would have been Helen’s 101st birthday.

Helen Rathburn celebrated her centennial in 2024 with friends. Included was Svetla Lawless, who with her husband, Bob Lawless, was a devoted SCVV caregiver for Helen. They became like family members, recollects Svetla.
