Alliances
South Coastal Village Volunteers is just one of many organizations serving older adults in our area. We collaborate and
continue to build relationships with other non-profits, associations and local businesses to serve the needs of our
seniors.
Village Volunteers
South Coastal Village Volunteers is grateful for the support, guidance and mentoring of Village Volunteers that serves Lewes, Milton and Rehoboth Beach. Becoming a branch of Village Volunteers allowed SCVV to become operational more quickly, bringing much-needed services to the community because we were able to share VV’s IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-profit status and Tax ID Number (EIN).
Beebe Health Care
Beebe's Home Care Services and Population Health Services refers patients to SCVV for support following discharge from the hospital. Beebe shares our information with patients and their families. We follow up to offer volunteer services.
Local Organizations
SCVV refers our members to local businesses and other organizations to help meet our members’ needs that extend beyond our services:
Village Volunteers is a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council for Aging. This role offers an opportunity to work with the Department of Health and Social Services and the Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities advocating for older adults and collaborating with other agencies to bring much needed resources and focus to Sussex County. In addition, VV has a Memorandum of Understanding with Volunteer Delaware 50+, a statewide program offered through the State Office of Volunteerism, and this extends to SCVV as well.
At the National Level
We have benefited as a member of The Village to Village (VtV) Network, an international organization that brings Villages together to share best practices. For more information or to locate a Village in another area, go to https://vtvnetwork.org
