South Coastal Village Volunteers

Much of the world is now online. Throughout the year, the South Coastal Village Volunteers offers means to sign up electronically for events and participate in various activities. Here are two social media platforms on which to get started if you are already online—or not.

Facebook. In addition to reading the new SCVV quarterly newsletter sent to your email inbox, a good way to keep up-to-date with our activities is by joining Facebook. We regularly post scheduled and pop-up activities such as Dine & Donate fundraisers, news about SCVV, awards, and other information that arises between newsletters.

If you are already on Facebook, click on the tab "Search Facebook" in the upper right-hand corner, and type in South Coastal Village Volunteers. Once this page pops up, click on "Follow" when prompted. If you want to join Facebook as a new user, go to facebook.com and click on the tab “Create new account.” Then search for South Coastal Village Volunteers and click “Follow” as explained above.

DoMoreDelaware24. Another online SCVV activity is fundraising. One opportunity coming up this March 6–7 is Do More Delaware 24, a unique 24-hour giving event that showcases the vital work of nonprofit organizations serving our state—among them the South Coastal Village Volunteers.

This year Do More 24 begins March 6 at 6:00 p.m. and extends through March 7 at 6:00 p.m. Please mark your calendar for these 24 hours of giving in Delaware.

Do More 24 Delaware was created to be a fun and easy way for the entire community to impact philanthropy. Its goal is to inspire Delawareans to come together for 24 hours and contribute as much as they can financially to the causes and organizations that they support. This unique giving holiday for nonprofits is designed to ignite a culture of community-wide giving and to allow everyone the opportunity to be a philanthropist. Do More 24 Delaware can empower the next generation of donors to be inspired to give to causes they are interested in and passionate about.

Before March 6–7, general information is available at: https://www.domore24delaware.org/event/do-more-24-delaware-2025

On March 6–7, you can donate directly to: https://www.domore24delaware.org/fundraisers/south-coastal-village-volunteers

Do More 24

In just 2 weeks, Do More 24 will take place and South Coastal Village Volunteers is once again participating. We are asking our many supporters to make your donation right at the event opening, 6PM on Thursday, March 6!
